"There is probably nothing that’s more complicated in this world than a woman. To date, no one has quite figured out how to tell when a woman’s ‘no’ is a real ‘no’ or a ‘yes’. To date, no one has quite understood why women refuse to say what they want but reserves the right to get angry when they don’t get it. To date, no one has quite fathom how a woman could cry over a silly movie so easily but survive the pain of child birth.
"It is these mysteries and more that continue to inspire different works of art. The play, “HerSheMe”, is one such work of art.
"Though movement, sound...the play explores the funny and crazy things that come with being a woman. That includes the expectations that come with soft features, the disappointments that come with the ever evolving social standards, the doubts that come with a woman’s fragility and privileges that are continuously given and taken away depending social maturity. It includes the happy, the sad, the melancholic and the fun."

"I was instantly drawn into the whirlpool ahead of me, as all three women hypnotically circled the stage. Steady and silent tears streamed down my face, which I attributed to sheer fatigue, until I realized that the entire audience had been equally moved by what they were vicariously experiencing. I was transported to a different place entirely; specifically, any black box theater in San Francisco, where art and activism go hand-in-hand.
I was reminded of exactly why I love theater in the first place.
"It was a deeply stirring performance. The dancing was reminiscent of Isadora Duncan in places so there was a lot of tension and raw, unbridled physicality, but what surprised me was that I could not keep my eyes off of these women’s faces. They were rife with such agony, despair, and melancholy in most moments, but then would rebound with equal joy, courage and inspiration in any given moment.
For an ecstatic and cathartic experience, I highly recommend fitting this show into your Fringe calendars."

"..HerSheMe, turned out to be a performance piece unlike anything I have ever seen at Fringe...this three-woman show was one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever had the fortune to see. It felt like I was watching a ballet in an art museum.
...We were able to experience the wonders of womanhood through a most appealing visual performance. This show belongs in a category all its own. It was breathtakingly beautiful, from the poetry on which it was based, to the heartwrenching performance of each actor on stage.
While not “theatre” in the traditional sense, this is a remarkable piece that simply must be experienced by every lover of art."
